I had the opportunity to design and develop the entire website for Bursa Kebap Evi UK, a well-known Turkish restaurant chain that brings the rich flavors of traditional Anatolian cuisine to the UK. The primary objective of this project was to create a clean, modern, and fully responsive website that reflects the brand’s authentic feel while offering a seamless browsing experience for visitors.
The entire site was built using WordPress and Elementor, allowing for flexible design control and ease of future content updates by the client. Although Elementor handled most of the layout and styling, I also wrote custom code (HTML, CSS, and a bit of JavaScript/PHP) to achieve specific functionality and visual effects that weren’t available out-of-the-box with Elementor.
My Role & Key Responsibilities
- Full Website Development: I handled the project end-to-end, from initial layout design to final deployment.
- Elementor-Based Design: Leveraged Elementor for pixel-perfect layout control, consistent styling, and responsive design across devices.
- Custom Code Integration: Implemented custom styling and minor functionality (like layout tweaks, mobile optimizations, and menu display logic) using HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
- Mobile Responsiveness: Ensured the site looks and works perfectly across smartphones, tablets, and desktops.
- Menu Presentation: Built a visual food menu using high-quality images and a simple yet elegant layout to highlight each dish category.
- User-Friendly Navigation: Structured the site to make it easy for users to explore the menu, get directions, or contact the restaurant.
- Third-Party Integrations: Embedded external links for online ordering and food delivery to streamline the user journey.
